Coffee 101
Everyday Brewing Tips from Torreo
Freshness Counts
Coffee is PERISHABLE!  You should
generally buy enough coffee to last one
week.  For best results buy whole bean
coffee and grind just before brewing.
Brewing Your Coffee At Home
It is very important that you use the correct grind for your coffee brewing
method.  Use fresh, clean, cold water, free of residues.  For the best taste, use
two tablespoons (one standard coffee measure) of ground coffee for each 6
ounces of water.  Coffee should never be kept on a warming tray for more than
20 minutes.  Never reheat coffee.  To keep the coffee hot, try using a thermos
or thermos pot.
Storage
After opening, store the coffee in an airtight container in
a cool dry place. If you need to store your coffee for
longer than one week, it should be stored in your freezer
in an air tight container. Frozen coffee beans should be
allowed to thaw to room temperature before grinding.
